Outfit of the day inspiration pic

Hey hey everyone, hope you guys had a fab February! I have been quite busy working away on a re-branding strategy for ‘Life At Thirtysomething’ blog and because of that I haven’t been blogging much. Not that I was blogging much before, lol! I will share my new re-branded website soon, but until then let’s talk TARGET STYLE! Have you guys been to Target recently and seen their spruced up clothing section including the new Universal Thread line? It’s like a boutique is in the middle of Target, genius! I wanted to do a blog post sharing some of my fave pieces I tried on and/or purchased just in case you haven’t been into the store yet to check them out. The following are my Top Spring Picks From Target’s New Universal Thread Line… if you haven’t heard of Universal Threads yet allow me to introduce you…

Stylish denim and every day essential pieces by Universal Thread

There are lots of really stylish denim options in the Universal Thread line that you wouldn’t really expect to find at Target, and they have tons of staple pieces for everyday wear. It’s basically my mom uniform and I love that prices are still “Target prices”. Style for a steal!

Isn’t this an easy and stylish mom uniform above?! I’m heading to San Francisco in mid-March for my brother’s wedding and I really wanted a good layering jacket that is stylish and functional. The weather in SF is the weirdest ever and it’s never all that warm, but if it’s in the upper 50s or low 60s this cute lightweight utility jacket is perfect. I love that it’s long and covers the booty which is always a plus! I don’t know if this jacket is sold in stores only but I couldn’t find it online. I’ve linked to a couple similar options above and in the shop slider below.

The tie front tank top in black is the best top to wear under cardigans and little jackets, or by itself when the weather warms up. The knot just gives a little extra interest to an otherwise basic black tee. And again, it’s longer in back to hide the booty. #winning

For a sizing reference, I’m wearing a large because I don’t like anything clingy!

I LOVE these sling back sandals, such a perfect transitional spring fashion sandal/booty combo!

Universal Threads pink sneakers

These pink sneakers are SO comfortable and add a fun pop of color to your outfit!

In-store try on session faves

I have seven hundred white t-shirts in my closet and it’s still not enough. I saw this cute white tee with floral embroidery on the shoulders and a front tie and FELL IN LOVE! How freaking cute is this?! I realized while linking to this that it’s not a Universal Thread top, it’s by a newer Target brand called ‘A New Day,’ which has lots of really cute styles too. I had to include it because it’s so cute and for $14.99, c’mon!

You may want to size up in this top for more length because it is on the shorter side. I’m wearing a large here.

Oops, another ‘A New Day’ top found it’s way into my Universal Thread blog but it’s stayin’ in! Love the tie detail on the arms, a nice little detail to upgrade a basic tee – $14.99! Wearing a size Medium for a size reference.

And these booties are nearly identical to the Vince Camuto booties I just bought at Nordstrom for way more. The annoying thing is that at $34.99 these Universal Thread booties are more comfortable than my higher end pair, UGH.

Dress // Sandals

I’m a big fan of comfy cotton dresses over a bathing suit while on spring break and this one was a fast fave. It’s v-neck and not clingy which is a must, and the length is perfect. Not too short and slightly longer in back. Thank you to whoever designed this! Wearing a medium here.

Universal threads espadrille sandals

Espadrille Sandals
I was so torn on the sling back sandals because I also saw these amazing designer dupe espadrilles that were calling my name! I wanted them last summer when I saw bloggers posting them all over Instagram but I couldn’t get on board with the price tag. But for $32.99 are you kidding me? SOLD. I’d hurry on these, I’m sure they will sell out.

OK those were just some of the fave Universal Thread pieces that I snagged at Target and can’t wait to rock in Cali and as spring weather approaches. Hope you saw some affordable pieces that caught your eye! I’ve linked everything below the images above, but I’ve also included a little shop slider with a few extra pieces that are on my wish list!
